Regardless of how you celebrate it, Mother’s Day is a special day to honor those women who have played such a significant role in our lives.  Some of my favorite gifts over the years have been those hand-made by my children.  This year, we’re offering a 2-day “Make Mom a Planter” event!  It’s a great time for Dads and kids to stop by and we’ll help you create a gift for Mom that she’ll never forget.  You choose the pot, you choose the posies, and you choose the price!  It doesn’t get much easier than that.  Stop by this Friday or Saturday between the hours of 10 and 4 to make your planter!

            We’ll also have lots of “already made” planters, hanging baskets, perennials and a nice assortment of gift items for Mom.  Not sure what to get?  Let us help you decide – we’ve got goodies for all kinds of budgets.  Just don’t let the day slide by without remembering Mom!           

            We’re cutting asparagus daily and are already beginning to see apricots and peaches forming on the trees after a very nice bloom.  You can stop by our home market, visit us on Lincoln Square in Gettysburg on Saturday mornings, OR you Carlisle shoppers can visit us at the Carlisle Farmers’ Market located right along Hanover Street in downtown Carlisle on Fridays and Saturdays.

            And finally – check out our website!!!  When Ellie returned to our business upon graduation from college, she assumed the arduous task of redesigning our website.  I think she did an amazing job!  Check it out and let us know what you think.  On a scale from one to ten, I think she’s earned a ten!  We hope you like it as well.
